The bad news - spending a Friday night in a hotel because I have to be at the jobsite tomorrow.

The good news - my lease is right on the way to the jobsite and I can shoot my AR for the first time. Brought all my AR parts to the motel and mounted the scope in the room. Need a couple of more things, but can still shoot and zero in scope tomorrow!

Finally finishing the assembly - upper purchased from Crazycooter - (couldn't build one for what he sold me this one for) one eight twist on SS 20 inch bbl. Lower is Anvil Arms, TPP engraved. Will be taking out into the field in the morning.

Just put the rings on -

Just mounted a 3x9x40 Nikon Monarch scope on it. (Bobcat turned me on to the quality and economy of the Monarch line. Salesmen at both Academy and Bass Pro agreed.)

Here are two of my three varmint rifles; the other being a good old Remington 788 in .222 with Burris Signature 2x8 scope. Also have a Rem 788 in .223 that is a tackdriver.....

I swear - putting a custom stock on a 788 is like putting a prom dress on a pig, but man do they shoot straight.....

Here is my gadget. Armalite M-15A4 5.56 Nato. If it is not an Armalite AR, it is a copy.
