  1. 6BR 55gr loads

55gr NBTs over 31.5gr of H-322 has worked well in mine. Lapua brass, CCI BR4 primers and 2.210" OAL
  2. Another vote for Tite Group. W231 would be my second choice.
  3. My best accuracy for my 9mm has come from Titegroup and W231 powders using 115 and 124 grain bullets.
  4. 2014 Shilen Swap Meet-March 29th!

Been going to this the last few years. It is a small show but very specialized in its contents. Mostly specialized equipment, bullets, powder geared more toward precision long range and benchrest guys. Shilen always has quite a few barrels for sale but the good stuff goes early and real fast. Lots of good folks lending good ideas. If ya never seen how a barrel is made the tours are worth your time. I enjoy it and will be making the trip again this year!
  5. You know it's bad when.....

CNN is reaching the point they have to improve their programming and improve ratings. People buying commercial time on their channel want the most exposure for their products as possible. With CNNs ratings in the tank ol Morgan is probably just the first of many changes to come.
  6. 1911 issues

I am surprised he does not reference springs. Lots of folks change recoil and mainsprings for whatever reason and can also cause many of the same issues he addresses. Having the right recoil and mainsprings in a 1911 and having them tuned to the loads you use make all the difference in the world.
  7. What would you build next....???

I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed my 6.8 SPCII. Lost count a long time ago on how many hogs I have taken with it. The 115gr Nosler custom competition works very well on hogs at the velocities put up by the 6.8. My next build is a wildcat based on the 6.8 SPCII. The 18" barrel is on order from Black Hole Weaponry chambered in 6mmX6.8SPC. This is kinda on hold until Mega comes out with their Megalithic upper receiver system.
  8. There is only need and want. Lott on a coon is want.
  9. How To Build An AR-15 & Caliber Choices!

Just started a build with a barrel from Black Hole Weaponry that uses the 6.8SPCII case necked down to 6mm. Some places it's called the 6mmX6.8SPCII and some call it a 6mm WOA. Pushed 85 grainers at 3000fps from a 16" bbl.
  10. Am I incorrect?

It's not the clothes that gets me. It's the cloak of communism that they circle themselves with and the destructive malicious intent of their actions that scares me.
  11. Stock for AR build

I also have a UBR on mine and love it. Only drawback to the UBR it's heavier than most but gives me the length I need.
  12. Next build 6.8 or 6.5

My vote goes to the 6.8 SPC. The thing just hits like a hammer on hogs, holds consistent 3/4" groups with 110gr Accubonds and IMR-4198.
  13. Alberta Bear Hunt Report!

Sounds like a great trip. I'll be in the Alberta woods in 6 weeks.
  14. Which Rifle???

My recommendation would be a Remmy 700 of your favorite flavor simply because of the add on whistles and bells you can use to enhance the rifle. The 204 is a fantastic caliber choice. Only thing I don't like about mine is those little bitty bullets and trying to pick'em up with my big OLD fingers. About like chasing a BB across the table.
  15. Our place is 18 miles south of Junction and I feel very safe in saying we are absolutely over-run with hogs. They are everywhere!!
