I will proudly admit that when I first read this, the physical revulsion I had nearly drove me to the bathroom to violently empty my stomach. I simply can not fathom the mindset that saw this project through from idea to implementation. Didn't anyone involved just pause for even the briefest of seconds to realize what they were doing? To end a human life without so much more thought than an impulse buy from a gumball machine? And why put these machines in universities? Wouldn't society, as a whole, want to encourage the reproduction of the best and brightest offspring? You would think if you were going to dispense death with the clinking of a few coins, you would put these machines in areas where they would do the most good for society; in areas where unwanted children are mostly doomed to poverty, abuse, and neglect. But the Liberals wouldn't want to cut down on the number of future indentured voters, now would they.
My disgust with this government has plummeted to a new low and I didn't even remotely think that was possible.
